- How should employers respond to a union organizing campaign
Speakers Bio:
Ted Ted Glesener is LRI’s vice president of client strategies. His practical knowledge of labor law and proficiency in the National Labor Relations Act is invaluable to companies looking to improve their labor and employee relations policies without union interference. Glesener emphasizes the importance of connecting with individuals on a personal level and can quickly pinpoint areas of union vulnerability, allowing him to resolve conflicts in favor of management’s right to run their business.
Evelyn Evelyn Fragoso is LRI’s senior labor consultant. As a former organizer, she understands how to communicate effectively with people from all walks of life, especially hourly employees who are deciding how to vote in a National Labor Relations Board election. Fragoso can describe in detail how a union operates, the amount of power an individual or local union really has, how the collective bargaining process works and the reality of living under a union constitution.
Moderator Bio: Karen Karen Livingston is ABC’s senior director of policy. In this role, she oversees regulatory actions, policies and guidance issued by the U.S. Department of Labor as well as several other federal agencies.
