Webinar Description Since President Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th president on Jan. 20, he has issued the most sweeping set of executive orders ever in a new administration that take aim at immigration and diversity, equity and inclusion programs and other policies with potential impact on ABC members. Read about the immigration and DEI EOs and learn about available employer resources. Littler Mendelson attorneys will provide an overview of the immigration and DEI EOs and discuss their impact on ABC member employers and federal contractors. They will also offer practical advice to employers on how to be proactive in their compliance efforts. Speakers Bios: Maury Baskin, serves as ABC’s general counsel and is a shareholder in the Washington, D.C., office of Littler Mendelson P.C., where he chairs Littler’s construction practice group and co-chairs Littler’s Workplace Policy Institute. He is one of the chief legal advocates for the rights of employers on labor issues throughout the country, representing ABC and its member firms at every level of government, up to and including the U.S. Supreme Court. Jorge R. Lopez, is a shareholder in the Miami office of Littler Mendelson P.C., where he chairs Littler’s immigration and global mobility practice group. He has practiced immigration law for more than 30 years and focuses on corporate immigration, processing temporary and permanent corporate visa petitions and all aspects of the Immigration and Nationality Act regarding visa benefits and federal I-9 immigration compliance. Jim A. Paretti Jr., is a shareholder in the Washington, D.C., office of Littler Mendelson P.C and is an experienced management-side employment and labor relations attorney with in-depth political and policy knowledge of labor, pension, healthcare and employment law, regulations and legislation. He is well-versed in all aspects of legislative and political processes with demonstrated knowledge in the substance of federal labor and employment policy.
